Wahoo
Wahoo are commonly caught off both Florida and the Bahamas. Wahoo are landed in the winter months in more numbers but can be caught to some degree year round. The average fish is 15-25lbs and the crew, particularly in the Bahamas out islands has caught fish over 100lbs. Trolling with wire baits is effective for these toothy fish but they can be caught live baiting and fishing with kites as well. The flesh from the wahoo is in the tops and makes for wonderful sushi meat as well as other typical fish preparations.
